Okaya Group Environmental Policy Basic Credo
The mission of the Okaya Group is to extensively contribute to society by capitalizing on its role as a trading company in order to become the "Best Global Sourcing Partner" while fully recognizing the close connections between the global environment and business activities and always making the preservation of the global environment and the sustainable development of the economy a top priority.
Conduct Standards
- In performing business activities, we will place great importance on recycling and actively promote the use of environmentally friendly materials, products, facilities, services and production methods.
- When commencing new business development and/or an investment in business, we will consider the impact on both the global and regional environments.
- We will strive to save energy and resources along with reducing wastes while maintaining an acute awareness of the finite nature of resources and energy.
- We will comply with environmental regulations and the Global Environment Charter of the Japan Business Federation (Nippon Keidanren), and try to take preventive measures against environmental pollution.
- We will seek to formulate and operate an environmental management system based on the Group's environmental policy, and review it as needed to make continuing improvements.
- In order to disseminate this Environmental Policy to all employees, we will provide educational activities to promote individual awareness and action.
